we're leavin'...

...on a jet plane.

Don't know when I'll be back again.
--------------
I know it's cliche' but I've been waiting to use that line for the last 10 months! Cut me a little slack! :)
We're leaving!
In just another hour the mom-mobile will be pulling out of the drive and we'll be on our way to the airport...
destination - Kiev.
Wow!
After 10 months of paperchasing, paper cuts and reams of paper, we're finally on our way.
I'll try to post along the way...but no promises. We only have an hour layover in Atlanta and Paris...I may barely have the time to find the departing gates! (more opportunities for prayer, people. Hey, don't ever complain that I haven't given you tons of prayer material here at 'Finding Maddie'! :)
Thank you everyone for all of your comments! I know we'll be coveting them in the coming days and weeks.
I want to leave you (for now) with a song that NEVER fails to touch me...actually make me bawl! I listened to it this morning as I was rocking JacJac and, well....you can imagine.
It's 'Orphans of God' by Avalon. The message is clear - God knows no orphans. He is the father to the fatherless. It gives me some comfort knowing our little one is never out of his sight, or his reach.
We'll see you in Kiev!

I love that song, too.

I love that song! I saw them live last year right after I had visited the child we've been fighting to adopt in Ukraine. It seemed so hopeless, yet God used them to remind me that there are no orphans of God. I was able to meet Avalon later and told them my story. Hopefully, they'll remember that everytime they sing the song and pray for all the orphans.
Have never commented before but have been following your journey for the last couple of months. Will be praying for you as you travel.

I will be praying! Thank you so much for the video. I saw it on Leslie's and now I have to put it on my blog! We sing this song in church and I always can't stop crying. Thank you for sharing. I am so excited for you! YAY! We are just beginning the process so I can't wait to be in your shoes. Much love from my family to yours.

That you might know that you are in our prayers, that the Lord will give you and your kids the grace and mercy to make it through these weeks ahead. May He make it abundantly clear, though it might be hard to accept, that this is His will for you and that He will provide and care for you as you are venturing out in faith.

God Bless and take care of you.

Love the John Denver song - I'll have to copy that one in March! You are in my prayers - that the Lord will open wide the doors that need to open for you to find your daughter and bring her home quickly. I pray that your story will be a testament to the power and faithfullness of the Lord! Can't wait to hear the details!
