we're home

Tuesday, May 27, 2008

We pulled the family truckster into the driveway at 9 p.m. this evening and collapsed in exhaustion.
The kids are in bed...
The house is suffieciently trashed with laundry...
The pictures have been downloaded...
And I'm ready to go to bed.
But I haven't forgotten about you.
I'll leave you (for now) with this little tidbit...
Maddie and the otters.

Don't you just love the excitement and joy they find in the simplest things?

Glad you made it safely home. Maddie looks adorable in the video!!!

Looks like those otters never had such a faithful little mama. She is so precious with them. You could have stood there for hours I bet! Glad to read about your fun time together. Don't let the laundry stress you too bad. Like Mary, you chose the better thing; spending time with the ones you love while you have them close!

So cute! :)

By the way, "all done" was one of our most used phrases when we got home! I laughed when I heard you say it to Maddie. The boys still use it to mean things are finished, or empty, or missing, or whatever else they need to say that they can't come up with!

Sometimes when I see these little ones enjoying each day like they do, I think of their lives before the Lord gave them families. The contrast has got to be astounding. What a blessings to be able to show them the world! :)

So cute! I see you found a new "do" that works with the hearing aid. Glad you had a fun vacation!

FYI: We've moved our blog to a new location. The link to the new one is in my profile.

Looks like the aquarium was a much bigger hit than the Hockey Hall of Fame and big hockey stick! I bet Maddie could have spent all day there judging from the excitement she showed in the video. Glad you had a good vacation and that your family is safe from the tornado that hit Minnesota.

The laundry pile isn't going anywhere and you can whittle it down the next few days.

It is nice!
I hear in the words of Maddie the English sound more than Russian. She does success :).

Loved reading about your vacation - can't wait to see the pictures! But I REALLY think you ought to treat us to pics of yourself in the swimsuit!! :-)

Her excitement is so precious! I love her shrieking!

What a great workout routine! The otters I mean, not the waiting laundry...
