"Dear Jesus," Alek prayed last night. "Thank you for the great day I had."
"Thank you that I got to play baseball today."
"Thank you that we got to eat at McDonalds."
"Thank you that we get to go to church tomorrow..."
"And please change Mom's mind so I can color my hair blue and get a mohawk like that guy I saw at the game."

Our God is an awesome God but I don't think He will be granting that prayer soon. Good try Alek!

Funny. We just got my son's hair trimmed and I finally caved and let him get colored hair gel. (Red.) He wears his hair in a faux-hawk a lot (I won't allow an actual mohawk) and he's been wanting to color it for months. I absolutely refused during school, but caved for the summer months.

It's only hair mom, it'll grow back...LOL! You let yours go first and then I'll let mine...

Happy 1st Fourth of July to your newest American and the rest of the family.

We are taking the girls to Old Sturbridge Village in MA to an old New England celebration.
