dinner conversation

Thursday, January 29, 2009

As I was making dinner tonight Maddie came barreling into the room...

Maddie - 'What for supper, Mommy.'

Me, sick and tired of answering the question for the millionth time - 'Stuff.'

Maddie, excited beyond belief - 'Ohhhh, Stuff? Mommy, Stuff?! I looooooove stuff.'

You must make good stuff!

Love Maddie's comment.

my dad's pat answer was "grass and gravel gravy." it meant all the leftovers in one pot. We always tried to get a friend to invite us over, and NEVER responded, "ohhhhh, I love g&gg!) Glad she was happy about it!

What awesome enthusiasm! I'd take that any day over the frequent, "I don't LIKE THAT" answer that I get (no matter what I'm making).

Ha ha ha! I love stuff, too! Lots and lots of stuff! Which is why my waistline is expanding and I have too many migraines.
