Just so you know....I spoke too soon.
The neighbors are back (tonight - Sunday)...armed to the teeth with beer and fireworks.
Sigh.
Its going to be a long night.

I am so sorry. Being from Missouri, I had many neighbors that also ADORED the annoyingly loud sounds of fireworks after 10 pm. One of the benefits of living in a fire-prone metropolis is that personal fireworks are illegal. Ahhh, a mostly quiet 4th. Good luck getting to sleep tonight!

Growing up where I did and now being back there...dealing with fireworks AFTER the fourth has become a tradition. I'm talking for up to a week after while people use up the fireworks they over bought!

Beer and fireworks. A combination for idiots.

Hope they didn't keep you up into the wee hours last night/early this morning.

tami, this has nothing to do with the 4th,but court said that shad and maddie were in the store the other day when she was working and maddie actually remembered her,she looked at her and court said hi,then she looked at her again and said whatty?thats what she used to call her,and court said hi again and then she was like WHATTY, and she said after that it was daddy that whatty all the way through the store.just didn't know if shad told you. she must have made a lasting impression while she watched them.

Well, were you able to sleep Sunday night or did the neighbors keep you up late with their fireworks?

Tellie July 8, 2009 at 9:00 AM

Aww. I know how that goes. I'm in college and currently spending my summer on a college campus and I got NO SLEEP on the fourth. People were setting fire crackers all night.

Hope you were able to get some shut eye.

I can sympathize with you! We had neighbors shooting those things off well into the night, which made the dog bark like mad - in turn, waking up the baby. I used to like 4th of July... :)

Miss your blogging. Tell your boss that your job is interfering with your blogging.
